Online Imperial Club

It has always struck me that for the immediate postwar period (oh, say, from 1945 to 1960), the true epicenter of the advertising world could be found in Detroit. If you have ever had a chance to survey (an activity made possible now by the fairly recent emergence of such excellent sites as Ephemera now, the old car manual project, etc.) the wide range of the Big 3's output, you can't but help agree that they really were the consummate manufacturers of not only cars but of dreams. On that note, take a moment to visit the Online Imperial Club--a site devoted to documenting the rich history of the Chrysler Imperial. The advertising, catalog, and ephemera on view here (most in hi-res, printable format!) is staggering...
