The Davistown Museum has an extensive collection of historical (primarily 17th-early 19th century) American hand tools. These tools, many of them extremely specialized in their function, offer a strange and wonderful glimpse into a pre-industrial, agrarian world that has been all but forgotten, even as they allow us to marvel at the sheer adaptability and ingenuity of our ancestors.
