Gallery of Computation | generative artifacts

Orbitalprn

Jared Tarbell creates some of the most consistently beautiful and computationally interesting code-generated art out there.  By writing algorithms and allowing the computer to process huge iterations thereof, he (through the medium of his computer) arrives at stunning images.  Like most conceptual artists, Tarbell's project favors process over results (by seeing the code as more akin to a living thing rather than a mere artifical process), but oh what results....

The Visual language of Scouting - uniforms, rotocol, popular culture, corporate identity

131

Historical Scouting memorabilia and ephemera has been a (fairly minor, but noted) thematic current here, so I would be remiss if I didn't include this small but nice collection of scouting imagery from fulltable.com.
